Elizabeth and Michael Rudinica Award for Outstanding Teaching and Advising
Lambert Doezema, professor of chemistry and biochemistry
"I am extremely grateful to have received this year’s Rudinica Award for Outstanding Teaching and Advising. Although all aspects of my job at LMU are enjoyable, I enjoy the teaching most. I was fortunate to have a number of strong teachers during my time as a student, and the reason I majored in chemistry as an undergraduate was because of one wonderful teacher, Mr. Askey, at Norman High School (in Oklahoma). My favorite part of teaching is students’ excitement when they make a breakthrough and are able to grasp and apply a difficult subject or concept."
