As wildfires continue to devastate parts of Los Angeles County, our hearts are heavy with concern for those impacted by this ongoing crisis. Members of our Lion family and neighboring communities have suffered loss, including the destruction of their homes.
LMU has been actively engaged with affected community members and is providing support resources. You can have a meaningful impact on LMU’s ability to assist students, faculty, and staff facing unforeseen hardship due to the California wildfires in four important areas:
Lion Emergency Fund
The Lion Emergency Fund provides immediate grants to students with an unforeseen crisis or emergency that prevents their ability to meet basic needs, helping them with expenses related to food and housing insecurity, job loss, and more.
Loyola Law School Emergency Fund
The Law School Emergency Fund supports LMU Loyola Law School students facing unprecedented financial strain including food insecurity, work disruptions, housing instability, and other unanticipated expenses.
Faculty and Staff Emergency Response Fund
The LMU Faculty and Staff Emergency Response Fund will provide immediate financial relief to those experiencing loss and displacement from the recent devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, ensuring they receive the support they need to recover.

Food Pantry
The LMU Food Pantry addresses food insecurity and provides confidential assistance for those struggling with hunger. The Food Pantry is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year to anyone with an LMU OneCard.
