Mikaela Huarcaya

Mikaela Huarcaya is a first-year film, TV, and media and computer science major in LMU School of Film and Television. Mikaela chose to attend LMU because she values the tight-knit community as well as the access to opportunities in Los Angeles. After graduation, Mikaela plans to work as a creative in the film industry.

“I chose to work as a student philanthropy officer in Annual and Leadership Giving, because as a student who is here on a scholarship, I know how much of an impact philanthropy can have on many people. This job allows me to help other students have great opportunities and continue building on LMU’s mission.”

Mikaela is involved in the honors program and the Latinx Student Union. In her free time, Mikaela enjoys going to the theater, watching film essays, and exploring LA.
