Matt Wheeler joined University Advancement in 2025 as director of development for LMU Loyola Law School. He is responsible for cultivating relationships with supporters and advocates to advance the strategic priorities of LLS and Loyola Marymount University.
Wheeler brings more than 12 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and strategy. Prior to joining LMU, he served as the associate director of development and communications for Executive Service Corps of Southern California. Other experience includes fundraising training and marketing and communications for domestic and international nonprofits.
Wheeler earned a J.D. from California Western School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in literature from Lake Forest College. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering, spending time with family and pets, and generally enjoying the diverse cultural opportunities Los Angeles has to offer.
