Lisha Maddox, Senior Director, Alumni and Family Engagement

Lisha Maddox joined University Advancement as senior director for alumni and family engagement in 2022. She brings 14 years of experience in student affairs and higher education administration. As senior director, Maddox oversees the AFE team and drives strategic planning, manages operations, and leads the team in establishing the donor engagement pipeline with families and alumni.

Maddox comes to University Advancement from the Student Affairs division at LMU where she was the director of student success, working with families and students as they settled in at LMU. Prior to this, Maddox was associate and assistant director of student success. She has been at LMU for 11 years, always working within student engagement, retention, transition, and success.

Maddox earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology from the University of California, Irvine, a Master of Arts in postsecondary administration and student affairs from the University of Southern California, and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of California, Los Angeles. In her free time, Maddox enjoys reading, traveling, game nights, and spending time with her family (especially her niece and nephew).
