Emily McLaughlin, Executive Director of Development, Major Gifts

Emily McLaughlin joined University Advancement in 2025 as executive director of development for major gifts. She is responsible for leading a team of major gift officers and helping advance the philanthropic priorities of LMU’s colleges and programs. Prior to her arrival at LMU, McLaughlin held key fundraising positions at UCLA, Northwestern University, and the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. She brings with her a decade of experience in academic and scientific fundraising.

McLaughlin earned her MBA from Xavier University after double majoring in English and philosophy as an undergraduate.
