Andrew Chait, Director of Development, Major Gifts

Andrew Chait joined University Advancement in 2025 as director of development, major gifts. He brings nine years of experience in higher education and health care fundraising. As director of development, he is responsible for advancing the philanthropic priorities of LMU’s colleges and programs, specifically focusing on scholarships and mission-related priorities.

Prior to LMU, Chait served as director of annual giving at Saint John’s Health Center Foundation. Chait also held several development roles at Santa Clara University, as director of external relations for the College of Arts and Sciences and as assistant director of development with a focus on reunion giving.

Chait earned a bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in political science, as well as an MBA, from Santa Clara University. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, surfing, all things food, and spending time with his friends and family.
