Executive Director, University Advancement
Stacy Barnes joined University Advancement in September 2010. She brings 15 years of experience in fundraising, primarily for higher education and the arts. As the executive director, Barnes is focused on strengthening relationships and cultivating new partnerships with a focus on interdisciplinary initiatives for the university.
Prior to her fundraising career, she was in the entertainment industry holding positions at Quincy Jones Productions, Warner Bros. and Warner Music Group. Barnes began fundraising for the arts in Washington, D.C. with the Atlas Performing Arts Center. She has held key roles with The Theatre @ Boston Court, the UCLA School of Film and Television, the UCLA Film & Television Archive and LA Stage Alliance. Barnes has spent her nonprofit career raising funds for scholarships for underserved students, large capital projects and for new programs such as a costume design center.
In her spare time, Barnes is a board member of 24th Street Theater, and is an amateur singer, photographer and pet rescuer. She’s an avid hiker and enjoys hitting the trails with her dogs.
