Senior Administrative Coordinator, Donor Relations
Leo Bueno joined University Advancement as senior administrative coordinator for board and donor relations in February 2019. He brings 10 years of experience in development. As senior administrative coordinator, Bueno is responsible for providing support to the board and donor relations team with their university-wide development efforts, including those of the president, the senior vice president of University Advancement, and development directors. He serves as the main point of contact for board and donor relations for both internal and external inquiries; liaison to the President's Office in regards to acknowledgment letters, donor meetings, events, and presidential briefings; and supports annual recognition and stewardship opportunities for key donors.
He comes to LMU from the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) in Long Beach, California, where he supported the fundraising efforts of the only museum in the U.S. dedicated exclusively to modern and contemporary Latin American and Latino art. As development coordinator at MOLAA, Bueno's duties included organizing, prioritizing and coordinating with museum leadership on funding priorities, donor relations, and assisting with the planning and execution of annual fundraising and stewardship events.
He is bilingual/bicultural in Spanish and was born and raised in Los Angeles County. In his free time, Bueno enjoys visiting art museums and galleries and spending time with friends and family.
