Lauren Shaw joined University Advancement in 2023 as a leadership giving officer. She brings two years of experience in higher education development. In her current role, Shaw is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the local community and as well as LMU’s alumni network to achieve the university’s philanthropic goals.
Shaw comes to LMU from UCLA, where she was a development intern in the athletics department. Prior to this, Shaw worked at the University of Iowa Center for Advancement where she coordinated donor prospecting, qualification, and event management for their athletics department.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in statistics and nonprofit leadership and philanthropy from University of Iowa, Shaw earned her master’s degree in education with a concentration in transformative coaching and leadership from UCLA. She played on the softball teams at both schools. In her free time, Shaw likes to spend time with friends, hike, do yoga, and enjoy great coffee — specifically, iced salted caramel lattes.
