Associate Director of Development, Frank R. Seaver College of Science Engineering
Laili Paksima joined University Advancement as associate director of development of the Frank R. Seaver College of Science and Engineering in early 2019. In her role, she collaborates with the dean and senior director of development to realize Seaver College's development efforts,
specifically for scholarship and critical ancillary programs that enhance student education. As such, she works closely with alumni, parents and friends to support their philanthropic interests.
With more than 10 years of experience in development, Paksima has been on staff at several respected nonprofit organizations. Coming to LMU from USC School of Architecture, Paksima managed the Architectural Guild and its programs. Prior to this, as director of Hirshhorn Council and special projects at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington D.C., Paksima was responsible for the museum's fundraising galas and the Hirshhorn International Council. Additional experiences include roles at Asia Society, Pratt Institute and Brooklyn Academy of Music. Her life has been enriched by the many wonderful people — philanthropists, artists, alumni, parents and students — she has met along the way.
After completing her undergraduate degree in biology, Paksima earned an M.S. in occupational therapy from Washington University in St. Louis and later went on to obtain a certificate in arts administration from New York University.
